Tips on Washing Your Car

One of the reasons why we need to wash our car is to clean it and remove all the dirt and contaminants on its surface. When it comes to auto maintenance, it is essential that both the car's interior and exterior are clean and in tip-top condition. Car washing is not that difficult if we know excatly how to do it properly. The procedure below must done at least once a month.

First, it is very important to park your car in a shady spot out of the drying heat of the sun. Let the exterior of the car cool down if it has been exposed in the sun's heat. You need to do this to prevent premature drying that can leave splotches on the car's finish. If you wash your car while the surface is still hot, the soap suds will dry quicker than you can rinse them off, leaving residue and streaks that are hard to remove.

Of course, to make the washing task even faster, you need to prepare the things that you will need. Among the essential car washing supplies include tire cleaner, tire brush, window cleaner, sponge, a bucket of water and car washing detergent that is specifically made for autos. Remember, don't use other detergents for they could damage your car's surface. Use a cleaning agent that is designed for use on cars as much as possible.

When everything you need is in placed, then you can begin washing the car. You can start by first spraying off the entire surface using the water hose. Carefully rinse the whole car to get rid of all the dirt, mud and grime. Use some pressure of the water. Then, mix the detergent to a bucket of water. Wash your car from top to bottom, starting from roof, move onto the sides of the car and wash each side well and then the tires. The last method is to dry the car's exterior. You should dry the car as soon as possible with the use of towels made from 100% cotton.
